THERESE GUICHON Peacefully on Saturday November 20, 2004, Therese passed away at her residence in Ste Anne, MB at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Emma Guichon SJSH of St. Hyacinthe PQ., sister-in-law Alice Guichon of St. Boniface, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters and special friend Jules Callens. Therese was born in Iles-des-Chenes, MB on July 11, 1922. She taught school for many years and later was the postmaster of Iles-des-Chenes until her retirement in 1978. Throughout her lengthy illness, Thereses faith in God and her zest for life carried her through her many hardships. Special thanks to Ken Nolin, her dedicated Home Care provider for many years, Louise Ruppell, friend and neighbor, and all others who helped her during her illness. A special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Ste. Anne Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23 in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Misericorde Roman Catholic Church (Iles-des-Chenes, MB) with Father Edmond Baril presiding. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Viewing will take place from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
